InterACT Youth Theatre (formerly known as Little Actors Youth Theatre) is a not for profit, professionally led youth theatre based in Neston, CH64.
FOR 2012 THE GROUP WILL PERFORM 'LITTLE FOOT' BY CRAIG HIGGINSON AS PART OF THE NATIONAL THEATRE'S NEW CONNECTIONS PROGRAMME
17TH AND 18TH MARCH IN NESTON THE LOWRY - DATE TBC
The group was formed in 2007 as a result of a grant from The John Thaw Foundation. This was to address the need for a professionally led youth theatre in this rural community. The grant also enables concessions to be offered to young people from low income families.
The group is now about to embark on it's fourth production with the National Theatre's New Connections Programme. A scheme of new writing for young people. Each group gets to choose a play from a repertoire of ten. The plays, by playwrights at the top of their game, have been commissioned by the National Theatre. Each group premiers the play in their own venue. A director from the NT visits and writes a report on the production. Subsequently the play is transferred to a regional venue. In our case it is The Lowry in Salford Quays.
The shows are directed and produced by Samantha Giblin. Co-director is Natasha Symms.
Venue: NC&YC, Burton Road, CH64 9RE Time: Wednesday 5-7pm
Fees: A subscription is charged and all money is used to stage the shows. Discounts are available fro low income families.
